The Kaspersky Institute of Technology and Protection has discovered that malware viruses are hidden in files such as pdf, mp4 and docx, and their owners claim to contain useful information regarding the new corona virus, including safety measures, seriousness of the disease, methods of identifying the disease, etc.

But in reality, these files are nothing but malicious programs such as promotions and worms, which are disguised in the form of familiar files, and they specialize in stealing user information with ease.

Here are the real names of the files that contain these viruses, according to the Kaspersky Institute:

  • Worm.VBS.Dinihou.r

  • Worm.Python.Agent.c

  • UDS: DangerousObject.Multi.Generic

  • Trojan.WinLNK.Agent.gg

  • Trojan.WinLNK.Agent.ew

  • HEUR: Trojan.WinLNK.Agent.gen

  • HEUR: Trojan.PDF.Badur.b

In order to avoid deceiving you through these viruses related to the epidemic of Crohna on the Internet, we suggest that you follow the following steps:

1- Do not click on suspicious links, and obtain the information from reliable sources.

2- Make sure that the files that are downloaded are not available on an “EXE” extension, especially those coming from unknown sources via email, chat applications and social media messages.

3- Use a strong anti-virus protection updated to the latest version.
