In past times where disasters and epidemics were occurring in certain regions of the world, killing thousands of people in those areas without affecting the rest of the globe, due to the weakness of the means of communication, in addition to that it is possible that such epidemics will end Without knowing or listening after a period of time, and with the development of the various means of communication at the level of mobility as well as the means of visual and audio communication, the world has become in contact and coexistence with all the phenomena that occur in any part of the world and that we have come to call it globalization.

The means of communication have positive returns, which are the speed of communication between world, and negative returns through the spread of diseases and epidemics quickly because of its ease of transmission between peoples. This is what we witnessed through the Corona pandemic, which invaded the world in less than two months and its impact threatens all the peoples of the earth.

Here we are also talking about other aspects of the means of communication, which are social networking sites, which have played and are still playing a major role in communicating all events and reports about the transformation of the Corona epidemic at the health, economic, political, and others to people. We note the increasing popularity of these sites significantly, especially with people's commitment to the rules of social spacing and their compliance with quarantine at home, and these sites became almost the only outlet for social communication between people in all countries of the world and social media also helped create the virtual world, which became the alternative to the real world, which people were living in before the emergence of this virus at all levels.

The most recent statistics estimate the number of active social media users around the world at about 3.8 billion people, more than 49 percent of the world's population during the spread of this epidemic.

For the purpose of evaluating these sites under this great event we must point out the positive and negative aspects of these means of communication to humans.

Positive aspects:

- Health aspects: Through social networking sites, all reports issued by health authorities have been identified on how the epidemic has spread in the world, how to prevent health methods, and what are the methods used to reduce this spread in addition to what are the tips and advice recommended by health authorities when infected with this virus and how Ways and means for home quarantine, as well as all the messages of Reassuring that are sent from all sides about alleviating the seriousness of the disease.

-Social aspects: Because of the domestic quarantine that all countries of the world have followed, social media has contributed greatly to increasing social interaction between people as well as setting up seminars, meetings and dialogues between people and expressing opinions on many social, health and economic matters that relate to aspects of this epidemic and the world has become as if it was living a new stage From this social closeness that was missing before this epidemic occurred.

-Economic and political aspects: Through the means of communication, there was a continuous follow-up by the people of all economic and political influences, which were greatly affected by this epidemic, and the world looked forward to how this epidemic affected the global economy, economic growth and fears of the economic recession that occurs after this event, in addition to a change in many aspects of thinking Economic from the individual to the governments.

As for the political side, the means of communication have contributed to providing different dialogues about what is going on in the political side at the local and global level and the impact of this epidemic on setting different policies than before.

Negative aspects :

-Publishing false reports about this epidemic, as well as deceptive statistics that raise terror and fear among people and evidence recently indicated that many people share information on social media before thinking about its authenticity

Gordon Penicoke, Senior Researcher in False Information Psychology at the University of Regina in Canada, conducted a study in which participants were asked to distinguish false news from the truth about the emerging corona virus, and participants were deceived by false news about 25 percent of the time, while 35 percent of them mentioned they may spread this fabricated news. - Penicoke says this indicates that people are spreading the news that if they had thought for a moment about their authenticity, they would have realized that they were fabricated. This is due to the desire to get the most interaction from the site's goers, whether impressed or participating.

-Of course, all these false news that are published on social media without verifying their authenticity have psychological effects on people and may lead them to do actions and behaviors within the scope of their presence so that they create an atmosphere of tension and anxiety within this range, especially with regard to the economic aspects of the family

For this case Facebook and Twitter recently took an unprecedented step by deleting posts by some of the world’s leaders to promote inaccurate information about the risks of a virus outbreak, and unverified treatments that may do more harm than good.

In the end as for our behaviors on social media, when you see a leaflet or information, it is worthy of you to rule for the mind and not be carried away by feelings, and look for the source of the information and scientific evidence that we support its credibility before we publish it on our pages.
